Choosing Joy Over Productivity

When I decided to unsubscribe from the hustle culture a few years ago and discovered the power of choosing more joy, bliss, and delight, many things in my life changed for the better.

This slow unfolding began with a conscious effort to choose more JOY and pleasure each day. Slowly, I began to appreciate the power of slowing down,…. I was able to meditate longer, I could be with my thoughts for longer stretches without consuming, and I have been able to practice gratitude with ease.

When a friend would ask me to go for a walk or out to lunch, the old me would choose work instead so I could continue grinding. The new me started to say YES to what was pleasurable, YES to things that nourish me, and YES to people and invitations that light me up.

It hasn’t been easy because, like you, I have had years of conditioning that taught me I needed to grind, “make things happen,” and I needed to control situations to make sure I got the outcome I wanted; control freak much?

When I started to understand and activate the power of feminine energy, I began to value the power of joy, pleasure, and bliss in a more meaningful way.

When I returned from lunch with a friend, my inbox would be full of inquiring clients, pleasant (mostly) comments on my posts, and I received more invitations to share my work.

You see, when we prioritize pleasure over productivity, we receive more. This doesn’t mean we don’t take any action and do work during the day, but it does mean that we ALSO prioritize our own happiness throughout our day. When we are leaned back, and open, miracles occur.

For some, that means starting small and just taking 3+ moments to close your eyes, roll your shoulders back, and breathe……For some, it means going outside and taking a lunch break; for others, it can mean filling most of the day with blissful moments.

This shift is so meaningful to me that I have started creating some EPIC experiences, so you can also unlock this shift for yourself. Keep your eyes out for those, and if you would like to discuss a 1:1 experience with me, please reach out to schedule a time to connect.

Warmly,

Melanie
