The Mind Your Strength family is growing!

If you've been following me for a while now, you probably have a pretty good idea of what I'm all about. However, it's been a while since I've done a proper introduction and I'm pleased to add that we've added quite a few new followers to our MYS fam lately! If you're reading this, that tells me that you also have a desire for personal development which I aim to deepen through my weekly coaching content (which you're hopefully finding in your inbox!), so I wanted to take this opportunity to re-introduce myself.

My name is Melanie Shmois and I am an Emotional Intelligence Coach for High Performers. I work with high-performing men and women, including professional and elite athletes, who have experienced success in certain aspects of their lives yet believe there is still something missing. The intimate thought-work I cover is all about improving emotional intelligence, deepening connections and relationships, overcoming behaviors and beliefs that are holding you back, and experiencing true happiness and fulfillment in all aspects of your life.

Or the short version of the above...I am but a humble presence here to facilitate change for anyone struggling to find fulfillment in their personal life. I've followed my passion into my life's work as a coach and entrepreneur, but outside of Mind Your Strength, I am also:

A recovering people pleaser

And the list goes on and on, and even sometimes changes! Because one thing I can promise you is that I am committed to constant evolution and growth over a lifetime - the growth of my mind, body, and spirit - that I plan to share here and on my other social media platforms all with one common goal: helping facilitate YOUR transformation.

We are emotional creatures driven by our feelings, yet we do not teach children, adolescents, or adults for that matter how to feel. This is insane to me! And also is why I have dedicated my life’s work to teaching and coaching my clients, and readers like yourselves, how to feel better, expand, and reach their highest potential, all based on desire - not pressure or lack.

My personal transformation started with my body. I lost 40 pounds and changed my life through exercise. My mood, my self-esteem, and my energy all improved and I began to build integrity within myself. I did what I said I was going to do and life got better. From there I took a leap of faith and followed my intuition and love of coaching and left my stable career as a therapist with a thriving private practice to become a life coach with an online business.

I learned how to feel my emotions instead of repressing them, eating them, or distracting myself from them. I increased my inner strength and have become rock solid on the inside while maintaining my sensitivity and empathy on the outside. I've grown Mind Your Strength Coaching from the ground up and into a 6-figure success born out of my passion and talent to help people strengthen their emotional core and gain fulfillment. In the past, I would have likely shied away from boldly owning my transformation and my progress, but thanks to using the same self-coaching techniques I share with my clients, I'm able to say this all to you with clarity and confidence.

This past year I have started to tend to my spiritual growth. This has involved a lot of healing from past religious trauma but has led to what is starting to feel like a true awakening. I’m still not sure where this path will lead, but I am excited to share it with you as it unfolds.
