How I'm ending 2020 with a BANG!

I know this year has been tough for so many people on so many levels.

We've been put through the ringer! What I've been hearing from many of my clients (and admittedly have said myself as well) is how ready we are for 2020 to end so we can get the fresh start of 2021. But here's the thing: all of the challenges of 2020 aren't going to magically disappear when the clock strikes midnight on January 1st. And regardless of what is going on in the world around us, we all have a responsibility to ourselves to make sure that we are as best prepared as possible to deal with whatever comes our way - and we now know that can include things we never, ever expected.

For me, this year has certainly included trying times. However, I'm pleased to report that the last couple of months have been more full of triumph. This is not by accident or pure luck, either! It has required a lot of hard work, including dusting off some old self-coaching techniques I've not needed in quite a while, along with picking up some new ones along the way.

Sure, I could have retreated or played small in my business for fear of failure, and there were times when that almost felt like the right option in any given moment. I had to remind myself of my "why"...of my purpose. My mission has always been to help people achieve their dreamiest goals by improving their emotional intelligence and strengthening their mental health.

Why would it be fair for me to stop sharing the mindset tools that I know could help, and at a time when people needed them more than ever?

So I didn't stop. I dug my heels in and I kept going. I put my money where my mouth was and even when it felt a little scary, I coached myself through it and continued staying true to my mission and my calling. And guess what happened? Connections were made. Doors were opened. My business GREW. I found that as long as I continued to live in full alignment with my vision and my purpose, things worked out the way they were supposed to. Simply because I am doing what I am supposed to be doing.

The past two weeks in particular have been especially exciting for me and Mind Your Strength Coaching. I was interviewed by Nike in a fascinating article about the correlation between mental and physical health. (You can check it out here.Spoiler Alert: Your mental health is a key player in your overall health!)

Further, I was featured on the Wine and Gold Talk Podcast where I got the opportunity to sit down with host Hayden Grove to talk about mental health and the NBA. (Click here to check it out on Google Podcasts, or search "Wine and Gold Talk Podcast" on your preferred Podcast provider!)

These were two huge milestones for Mind Your Strength Coaching (and myself personally!) that I am incredibly proud of. Two huge milestones that I would not have gotten to experience had I decided to shut down and hide during this mess we call 2020.

So, my questions to you are the following: how are you going to show up during the last few weeks of this year and the entirety of the next? What are you doing NOW to ensure that you don't mentally or physically repeat 2020? How are you taking care of yourself so you can live in full alignment with your vision and your purpose, no matter what comes your way in 2021?

If you're unsure or you need some support around this, that's okay too because I've got your back!
