New Goals Require These Key Components

I was sitting around the dinner table at a friend's house for New Year’s Eve and our host asked us to go around the table to tell the group something we accomplished in 2023 and a big goal or intention we have for 2024. One of the guests declared that she had an amazing revenue year this year that surprised her, and she wanted to see if she could double it this year.

I asked her what she thought led to her success this past year, and she stated, “thinking outside the box” and she seemed a bit unclear about how she would reach her big new goal this year. This got me thinking that to achieve a big audacious goal requires us to think new thoughts, often ones we have never thought before, to be willing to feel feelings we have never felt before, which will fuel actions that we have likely not taken, which will result in something new.

I shared this with her, and she seemed excited, so I wanted to share it with you. Often, what got you here will not get you where you want to go and will require a shift. Using fitness as an example, for many people, it is all about learning how to use the equipment and becoming consistent with it. However, the goals get more specific and nuanced over time, requiring a different mindset and action plan.

This is where coaching plays a pivotal role. When you want to double your revenue or uplevel in some big, bold way, you may need a coach or mentor to help you see outside the box and come up with thoughts you may have never even considered.

New thoughts—->lead to new feelings—---> fuel new actions—---> yield different results.

My passion is helping people uncover new thought patterns and I love witnessing all the lightbulb moments that inevitably occur. I am offering (3) Vision Sessions this month to do just that. They usually go within a day, so if you want to snag one, respond to this email to secure your spot.

In the meantime, ponder what new thoughts, feelings, and actions are required to reach that big, bold goal you have this year.

Happy New Year Everyone. Thanks for being here.
