My podcast airs today!

I’m super excited to announce that I am going to be on a podcast today! Not just any podcast, but my favorite all time podcast, The Life Coach School Podcast with Brooke Castillo, my master coach instructor. You can go to the podcast homepage or iTunes to download The Blame & Clean Thinking Workout, Episode 156 and listen anytime, or click to listen.

Her segment is all about blame, and it’s a super important listen. Brooke teaches us that blame is always disempowering as it applies to our emotions. No one else is responsible for the way we feel. Our thinking is responsible.

My segment is featured at the end and is titled the “Clean Thinking Workout” and I provide a 3- step mental routine to transform a stressful situation into a tolerable or even fun one. I always like to use examples from my own life to practice these tools. I hope you find it relatable and helpful. If you find that time and time again you are stressed out at the same place, or with the same person or group of people, please give my routine a try.

Step 1-Complete a Thought download, click here for a sample download sheet thought download worksheet THOUGHT DOWNLOAD
Write down everything and anything you remember thinking and feeling during the stressful event

Step 2-Separate the Facts from the opinions about the situation
Remember that facts can be proven in a court of law whereas opinion is open to interpretation

Step 3-Ask yourself a better question before entering the stressful event
In my example, I like to ask “How do I want to show up and feel there?” “How can I make this fun?” Let your brain find the answer for you.

Are you someone who devotes a lot of time and effort to exercise and/or meditation and healthy eating, but are still unhappy outside of these times? Learn to train your mind as hard as you train your body to get the results in your life and live happier.
