Let Me Take You to a New Edge

In 2023 I decided to call my 1:1 coaching mentorship-” The New Edge” for a significant reason. If you want to grow and expand from your current situation, you must be willing to play with some new edges. I prefer this form of growth over tossing my clients (or myself) into the metaphorical deep end to maintain balance and stability.

When we start to move towards a new edge, we will likely face fear, doubt, and insecurity, which is why having a mentor is beneficial. You can work to allow those feelings in a balanced way before you decide to leap toward your next goal.

I teach and coach my clients on the importance of balance, using feminine and masculine energy concepts, and nervous system regulation. When you have a big goal, it is normal to take three steps forward and one step back to regain your balance, focus, and stability, allowing you to feel solid to go again instead of urging someone to jump without helping them work with their negative emotions and nervous systems.

In the new edge, we learn how to stabilize ourselves internally and externally to feel safe to go again. This leads to sustainable change and an excitement to continue to play with new edges.

Let’s say you want to express yourself more at work to get noticed and move up in the company. You can start to play with a new edge each week by committing to contributing some feedback or insight at each meeting while in the background working on building that confidence to do so. This edge will likely make you want to go even deeper, and so on, until your voice is fully expressed at work, and you are more likely to be seen, heard, and hopefully promoted.

A good trainer will add more weights to your lifting session incrementally so that you continue to build muscle and strength. If you lift the same amount every time, you know those muscles will not change. It wouldn’t make sense to give someone comfortable lifting 10-pound weights 35 lbs. but playing with small edges like 12.5 for a few reps is where it is.

If you have a result in mind that you have been struggling to obtain and want to learn how to play with new edges without completely freaking yourself out, I invite you to book a connection call. In the meantime, do something edgy daily to experience the power of change.
