Holes in the data
One key aspect I’ve observed from people who have successfully obtained their goals versus those who have fallen short are how they interpret their results.
Silent suffering
Your goals matter, no matter what they are. I know that many of you are not reaching out for coaching, or investing in yourselves because you believe your issue is insignificant, or are feeling like you should not have this issue, because you have a lot going for you in your life.
The inches matter
So many of my clients come to me very discouraged because they are looking at the macro result they want. They want to lose 80 pounds, fix a relationship, earn 6 figures in a short amount of time. They stare at that macro goal and their brain shuts down because of the overwhelm.
Do you want to be thin, or do you want to be happy?
What I have come to understand is that happiness is an inside job. All of our emotions are created in our minds, not by external achievements, but by our thinking.
Dirty little workout secrets
Being disconnected from our bodies can cause us to overeat. This estrangement from our bodies is what can cause us to gain large amounts of weight without noticing. Interestingly enough this same disconnection can exist with exercise especially exercise that is fueled by fear and obsession.
