Freeing All Children, Inside & Out
Over a week ago, I traveled to Sedona, Arizona, with a client to see one of our favorite coaches/speakers-Kyle Cease. The two-day event we stretched to be four days (well, because of hiking and crystals) was an expansive experience beyond words. I am sharing a few profound insights I had there to open up the possibility of expansion for you.
Kyle’s intention was to help the audience bring awareness to our inner children and let him or her know you see its patterns. This kid inside of you is not you; it is just a pattern you created to protect yourself in childhood, but it often leads to a limitation in adulthood.
Like our children, they want to be seen, heard, and loved before moving forward when they feel scared. Once we see the pattern and allow the feelings, it feels to be in our bodies with unconditional love because it feels seen and heard. Then and only then can it be released. Often there are tears as we acknowledge this part of us, which is part of the release. Then he recommends rebalancing by being in the NOW as often as possible so that you can be present with God, the universe, the source, and whatever you identify with.
I realized my high-performing clients engage in many distractions from the NOW, keeping them in their limitations. My client that was with me (who permitted me to discuss this) has had such tremendous transformation on the other side of being in the NOW more and more.
She talked about how she spends time staring out her window on Sundays, mesmerized by rain falling on a rooftop or birds circling above while just being cared for in the NOW. This shocked me because when I started working with her, she was in constant motion, working, volunteering, constantly on the phone or working out, so for her to go to Arizona mid-week without her laptop, leaving her cell phone behind, and talking about being in a blissed- out the state from just staring out the window absolutely floored me.
The past is a story, yes, it is factual, but it only exists in our minds, and we often attach terrible meanings to it. You see, the NOW is all we have. The NOW doesn’t care what you did, didn’t do, or what you are working on; it is pure love.
He also talked a lot about how we fight for our limitations. He said: “every limitation is a lie” and recommends not using (I) statements when discussing a limitation. For example, we often identify with our limitations in saying things like “I always procrastinate” or “I can’t get myself to the gym”; instead, we can identify more with the person observing this behavior. Once you observe it, you can notice the pattern, allow it in your body to feel seen and heard, and release it so your higher self can move forward with the life you are meant for.
I could go on, but what I want to offer is, as much as possible, to be here NOW. When we distract ourselves with all of our buffers, we miss the small stuff. This leaned-back feminine energy gives us much joy, freedom, and insight. It is not an easy task amid our busy lives, but I promise it is worth it.
If you’re working too hard and making yourself miserable and need to figure out how to like things other than work, I invite you to schedule a connection call with me.
Warmly,
-Melanie
